Parent Open Afternoon - Thursday 13th February
Thu 06 Feb 2025Dear Parents/Carers,
I am delighted to invite parents to this term’s parent open afternoon on Thursday 13th February 2025. This term the activities will be planned around Numeracy.
Parents will meet in the hall at the beginning of the afternoon for a ten-minute presentation and then will be able to join their child(ren) in class to participate in lots of fun numeracy activities. It is a fantastic opportunity for our children to show their skills and really promote the importance of mathematics to our children. We encourage as many parents as possible to attend.
Parents will be able to enter the school at 2.00pm via the main reception. The parents will have a ten-minute presentation in the school hall and then be shown to the children’s classrooms. For those who have more than one child in the school we ask that the time is split between siblings and that the parents visit the youngest sibling’s class first. Teaching Assistants will guide the adults to the other sibling’s classes when required. As you are aware, a school office is very busy and therefore parents will not be admitted for the open afternoon after 2:15pm. I know that you will appreciate this and support the school to ensure the smooth running of the open afternoon.
Parents will be able to take their children home from 3pm and will be required to sign them out with the class teacher. For any children whose parents are unable to attend the normal school end time will apply. If your child is staying for the Happy Heart’s disco for Years 1-3, they will need to remain in school.
As always, I thank you in advance for supporting the school as partners in our children’s education. I look forward to seeing you all on the 13th February 2025.
Kind Regards
Mrs E Johnson
