Letter - Elm Class Teacher
Mon 31 Mar 2025Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to let you know that Mr Colbran will not be returning to Sunny Bank due to personal reasons. We would like to thank him for all his support during his time at the school and wish him all the very best for the future.
During his time with us, Mr Colbran built positive relationships with the children and brought great energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. He will be missed by both staff and pupils.
We would also like to thank Miss Chamberlain who has been teaching Elm Class during Mr Colbran’s absence. With the support of Mrs Strevens, she has ensured the children have continued with their normal routines and structures, providing them with consistency and support. Mrs Strevens will continue in her role as the class TA and will carry on supporting the children in their learning.
We are pleased to let you know that Miss Woods will be joining us as the new class teacher for Elm Class. We are delighted to welcome her to the Sunny Bank team and are confident she will be a great asset to the school. This week Miss Woods will
be spending time in school getting to know the children. She will also be outside at the end of the school day when the class are dismissed so, please feel free to say hello.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Emma Johnson
Acting Headteacher
