  • Competition for half-term!

    Tue 10 Oct 2023

We are excited to announce a special reading competition during the upcoming half-term break!

Our goal is to ignite the magic of books and foster a love for reading in our children. Reading is a vital daily activity, and we want to make it even more enjoyable.

We invite your children to participate in our "Unusual Reading Places" competition. We're on a quest to discover the most unusual reading places our students can find whilst enjoying a book.

To make it even more enticing, we're offering three fantastic prizes – each winner will receive a £10 Amazon voucher!

    How to Participate:

Encourage your child to explore and find the most unusual place to read a book during the half term break.
Capture the moment by taking a picture of your child reading in that extraordinary location.

Share the pictures with us in one of three ways:

    • Post them on our Facebook page.
    • Send them via ClassDojo.
    • Bring physical copies to school after the half term break.

Our dedicated reading team will carefully review all entries and select the winners. We will proudly announce the champions during our celebration assembly on the first Friday when school resumes.

We hope this competition adds an extra layer of excitement to your half term break. Reading is an adventure, and we can't wait to see where it takes our young readers!

Wishing you all a fantastic half term filled with fun and wonderful reading moments!

  • Harvest Festival

    Tue 10 Oct 2023

This year to celebrate harvest festival we will be collecting for Swale Foodbank.

We want to give the children the opportunity to give back to the community, so we are asking children and parents to donate food items from home if they are able. We are not expecting anyone to go and buy something extra, just anything that you may be able to spare, it doesn’t matter how small.

Families in our communities use the foodbank so it would be nice to pull together and to celebrate this in the spirit of harvest.

We will be holding a celebration assembly on Friday 3rd November and talking to the children about our community and the work of charities.

Please can we have any donations brought into class with your child by Friday 3rd November. Please ensure there are no fresh items, fridge items, bread, anything alcoholic or anything that will spoil quickly. Please see the list of items needed by swale foodbank below:
