  • Changes to PE Arrangements

    Tue 13 Jan 2026

    Dear Families,

I am writing to let you know about an update to our PE arrangements.

From Monday 12th January 2026, children may come to school wearing their PE kit on the days their class has PE.  We are making this change to ensure that pupils enjoy a full, active and fun PE lesson, rather than losing valuable learning time getting changed.  This approach has worked well in many schools, and we are confident it will help us make the most of every PE session.

We ask that children wear appropriate PE kit that is suitable for all sports and for the weather.  To keep things consistent and practical, we will be monitoring PE kit closely.  If a child arrives in clothing that does not meet expectations, they will be given a reminder but if they continue to wear incorrect PE uniform they will be told to return to wearing school uniform and change into their PE kit at school on PE days.

    Our expected PE kit is:

    • T‑shirt: blue (preferred), black or white
    • Joggers and sweatshirt: black (preferred), blue or dark grey
    • No branded sportswear, please

Thank you for your support and cooperation as we introduce this change.  We appreciate your help in ensuring that PE remains a positive, active and enjoyable part of the school week for every child.

    Kind regards

    Miss N Hyett

  • School Census and Special Lunch - Thursday 15th January 2026

    Mon 05 Jan 2026

We would like to let you know that we will soon be completing the School Census (Thursday 15th January) and on this day, a special school lunch will be on offer for pupils see menu attached. If you would like your child to have the school lunch on this day, please ensure that your Arbor Account is topped up. A reminder that school dinners should be paid at the beginning of the week for the meals to be taken in that week on Arbor or by credit card in the school office.

The school census is very important, as the information collected helps determine the level of funding that the school received to support pupils' learning and wellbeing.

If your child is entitled to benefit related Free School Meals, it is vital that you apply, even if you child does not usually have a school meal or you prefer to provide a packed lunch. Registering your eligibility helps the school receive additional funding, which is used to support resources, interventions and opportunities for all children.

If you think you may be eligible but have not yet applied (please do not reapply) please see the attached link to apply
