  • Coronation Picnic

    Mon 24 Apr 2023

We are excited to share with you our plans to celebrate Coronation Day on Friday 5th May.

We will be holding a Coronation picnic on the school field in which Parents and Carers can join us.

The side gates will be opened at 2pm for parents/carers to enter. You are welcome to bring your own picnic blankets, food and drinks but please remember NO NUTS, no alcoholic drinks, and no smoking/vaping on site.

Please do not worry if you cannot make this event, we will still ensure the kids have a great time and will have a picnic provided by us with the school staff and their friends.

School lunchtime will still be as normal on this day.

We will also be having non uniform on this day and are asking the children to wear red, white and blue.

We hope you join us in this exciting day to celebrate the Coronation of our new King Charles III.

  • Forest School - latest

Mon 24 Apr 2023 Mrs Lougheed

Birch class embarked on a Jack & The Beanstalk themed activity at Forest School this week. They collected a stick and used trimmed foliage from basecamp and green string. They got very creative and made their own nature inspired examples of a bean stalk!

In basecamp we played a game of The Giant says…

The children also enjoyed a one minute vacation, pausing to connect with nature and enjoy a minute or two of calm focusing on their breathing, heartbeat & senses - noticing what they could see, hear, smell and feel around them.

We also looked up at the sky and imagined how tall the beanstalk from the story would be and how it would feel to climb to the very top up in the clouds.

Fantastic focus & engagement as always Birch class!
