Nursery letter
Thu 03 Apr 2025We would like to inform you of some exciting changes that are happening after half term in our Early Years setting.
As you know, we are very lucky to have the space that we have available for the children to explore, both inside and outside. Well, after half term we are going to be expanding the space available to the children during both their adult led learning times and their independent learning opportunities.
We are very lucky to have access to another room, which is opposite our main Nursery building, which the reception children have been using on a regular basis, with phonics groups and maths lessons already taking place in there. After the half term, the reception children will be using this classroom space as their registration base, as well as all their adult led learning, which will mean I will be based in this room at the beginning and end of the day. I am very pleased to share with you all, that Mrs Miles has been appointed as Deputy Nursery Supervisor, which means that she will be overseeing the day-to-day adult learning opportunities in the nursery with the children and will be your first point of contact.
Please be assured that I will still be working very closely with Mrs Miles and the nursery team and will still have opportunities to work with the children during their independent learning time. I will also still be working with you as parents/carers but in a slightly different capacity to now.
I understand that change can lead to questions, and I will be available to answer any that you may have at the end of the school day.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Jenner

Letter - Elm Class Teacher
Mon 31 Mar 2025Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to let you know that Mr Colbran will not be returning to Sunny Bank due to personal reasons. We would like to thank him for all his support during his time at the school and wish him all the very best for the future.
During his time with us, Mr Colbran built positive relationships with the children and brought great energy and enthusiasm to the classroom. He will be missed by both staff and pupils.
We would also like to thank Miss Chamberlain who has been teaching Elm Class during Mr Colbran’s absence. With the support of Mrs Strevens, she has ensured the children have continued with their normal routines and structures, providing them with consistency and support. Mrs Strevens will continue in her role as the class TA and will carry on supporting the children in their learning.
We are pleased to let you know that Miss Woods will be joining us as the new class teacher for Elm Class. We are delighted to welcome her to the Sunny Bank team and are confident she will be a great asset to the school. This week Miss Woods will
be spending time in school getting to know the children. She will also be outside at the end of the school day when the class are dismissed so, please feel free to say hello.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Emma Johnson
