  • Sports for Champions

    Mon 09 Jun 2025

We are delighted to announce that on Friday 11th July we will be joined by athlete Pierre Henry Fontaine from Sports for Champions. During Pierre’s visit he will be talking to the children about his sporting journey and his experiences playing basketball at a top level.

Excitingly, children in Year 1 to Year 6 will have the opportunity to complete a sponsored fitness circuit with Pierre. Your children will be bringing home a sponsorship form so that you can sponsor them for their efforts when working with our athlete. 60% of the raised money will support our school, while the remaining 40% goes into the athlete fund, which supports athletes in need, especially those in less privileged areas.

Please can we ask that all donations are brought into school on Wednesday 9th July 2025 and handed to the class teacher.

You can also sponsor your child online on our crowd funder page HERE

Please do not feel obliged to sponsor as we know that cost of living is incredibly expensive, however, every little helps and we want to thank you for your continued support.

  • Sports Week

    Thu 05 Jun 2025

We are delighted to announce that our sports week is being held on week commencing 30th June. During this week the children will all be involved in lots of different sporting activities.

This year, our annual sports day will be held on Friday 4th July. We know that it is sometimes difficult, however, we strongly encourage as many parents as possible to come along and support the children. Not only do the children love having their parents there watching them but it also really helps the children to develop that sense of community.

The children will take part in a range of different activities within their classes, and you will be able to watch and encourage the children as they attempt the different events.

Please can you ensure the children bring their PE kits and a bottle of water to school. We would also kindly ask that sun cream is applied in the morning and a sun hat can be worn if you wish.

This year we are asking for children to dress in the colours of their houses, we do not expect you to go out and buy anything new so if you do not have anything in your child’s house colour, normal PE kit is fine. The houses and colours are as followed, if you are unsure of your child’s house please do not hesitate to ask the class teacher.

  • Tips for Secondary School (Updated)

    Thu 05 Jun 2025

Our district Specialist Teaching & Learning Service (STLS) and local secondary schools have given primary schools in Swale a set of 10 transition tips/activities to support our year 6 pupils with their move to year 7.

There will be one tip per week for school, one tip per week for you as parents and carers and one tip for your child during terms 5 and 6. The activities focus on supporting children to develop their independence ahead of secondary transition.

Every child is different - some may need more support and some may feel very 'ready'. All emotions about the impending change are quite normal!

We hope that these activities will provide you with some useful talking points and actions in the home, as they will in school. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
