World Book Week
We have a number of very exciting plans for our Book Week this year and each day has a different theme!

Monday 28th February |
Whole School Book We will kick start our week with a very special book – The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy – to launch our week! |

Tuesday 1st March |
Poetry Day Today we will be looking at some poetry by Michael Rosen and learning how to perform it! We can’t wait! |

Wednesday 2nd March |
Different Types of Text Day! We would love your child to bring in their favourite book/comic/paper or other text to read as we will enjoy some social reading time today! Author visit – TBC |

Thursday 3rd March |
World Book Day - Pyjama Quiz Day! Children can wear their pyjamas and have a cosy day for reading at school as we battle in a TILT Trust competition. This year we are competing to get the highest number of quizzes read and passed. Let’s do this! #TeamSunnyBank! |

Friday 4th March |
Dress up Day Children to come into school dressed as one of their favourite book characters! Teachers will be picking a book and doing activities around it for the whole day and we will finish it off with a special edition of the Masked Reader!

In addition to all of these exciting themes, we will be accessing a number of live, streamed events from the Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC and Penguin book publishers.
Finally, we are trying to gather a number of children’s comics so please could you send in any old ones rather than putting them in the recycling if you happen to have any!
