Aspen and Willow class engaged with some Forest School Science on the campfire on Wednesday afternoon.

The children watched as the solid chocolate melted (changing state). They were ready and waiting with their yummy marshmallows on skewers, which they dipped and twirled In the warm, melted chocolate and enjoyed eating them in basecamp.

We also reminded ourselves of our fraction maths lesson by sharing a biscuit in half, and spreading some of the melted chocolate on top.

It was interesting to watch the chocolate change back to a solid once it begun to cool down. The wooden spoon was stuck in the set chocolate.

There was lots of scientific vocabulary flying around basecamp!
