As we begin planning for the next academic year, I would like to inform you of some small changes to the timings and arrangements at the start of the school day. These changes will come into effect from September 2026 and are designed to support a calm, positive and well-organised start to the day for all children.
Morning Arrangements
From September, the morning routine will be as follows:
8.45am – The school gate will open.
Families are welcome to walk onto the playground with their child and accompany them to their classroom door.
8.50am – Classroom doors will open and children will begin entering their classrooms.
9.00am – The school gate will close and all families should have left the school site to allow learning to begin promptly.
Any child arriving after 9.00am will be recorded as late and must enter the school via the front office, where they will be signed in before joining their class.
Wednesdays
On Wednesdays, when we hold our ‘Turn the Page’ family reading session, the gate will open at the same time (8.45am) and classroom doors will open slightly earlier at 8.45am to allow family members to read with their children. All other arrangements remain the same and the gate will close at 9.00am.
End of the School Day
There will be no changes to the end-of-day arrangements. The school gate will continue to open at 3.10pm, with children being dismissed and collected at 3.15pm.
We believe these slight adjustments will help ensure a smooth and welcoming start to the school day, while providing families with an opportunity to accompany their children onto the playground and to their classroom door.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to working together to ensure every child has the very best start to their day at school.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Nicole Hyett
Head of School
