Sports Week

We are delighted to be able to share details of our upcoming Sports Week, including our much-anticipated Sports Day.

Sports Week will commence on Monday 29th June and we are very excited to begin the week with a special visitor to our school. They will deliver an engaging assembly to all children before working with each class in a fitness workshop, helping to inspire and energise everyone for the week ahead.

Throughout the week, children will take part in a wide range of physical activities designed to promote teamwork, resilience and enjoyment of sport. These activities will build up to our Sports Day, which will take place on Friday 3rd July.

Our Sports Day sessions will be organised as follows:

· EYFS: 9.00am – 9.30am (families to arrive between 8.45am-8.55am)

· Years 1, 2 and 3: 9.30am – 10.30am (families to arrive between 9.25am-9.30am)

· Years 4, 5 and 6: 10.45am – 12.00 noon (families to arrive between 10.35am-10.45am)

During their session, EYFS children will take part in a carousel of activities, which families are warmly invited to watch and enjoy.

Children in Years 1–6 will also complete a carousel of activities, followed by a series of races for those who have chosen to participate.

To ensure children are comfortable and ready to take part in the full range of activities, they are welcome to wear sports clothing to school throughout Sports Week. On Sports Day (Friday), children should come to school wearing:

· Shorts

· Trainers (or plimsolls)

· A plain t-shirt in their house colour

Please ensure that your child brings:

· Plenty of water

· Appropriate items depending on the weather, such as a hat, suncream, or a jumper

We are very much looking forward to a fun and active week and we hope that as many families as possible will be able to join us in celebrating the children’s participation and achievements.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
