In Hawthorn class, we have been very lucky to have been learning how to play the ukulele with Mr Inkpen. We have been having so much fun and love composing songs with what we have learnt.
Children in Hawthorn class had an amazing time completing a range of activities on maths day. They were playing maths games, solving maths problems, colouring by equation and completing a maths treasure hunt. What a fantastic day.
Hawthorn class have been getting in the Christmas spirit and have been learning all about food safety.
We made Christmas sandwiches and melted snowmen biscuits and focused on ensuring our environment and our hands were clean.
We have been looking at the Romans. We explored the rise of the Roman Empire and the impact it had on Britain today. We then looked at Roman mosaics. We then designed and made our own mosaics.
In Hawthorn class, we have been using the book ‘The Creakers,’ by Tom Fletcher as inspiration for our writing. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the book and as a result their work has been amazing. During the term, we wrote our own rhyming poems and then we performed these to the class.
Well done Hawthorn class!
